*You can also upgrade 3 different aspects in your settlements to make it more profitable.*


They are,

Roads,

Forum,


and

Public Buildings,

*Port Cities* also have a Dockyard to upgrade,
Each of these has 5 levels.
Roads,

ROAD COSTS PS- the words next to * Mean the resources you need to build this.

Lvl 1 - Free - Provides a dirt path for your people to use adds no extra income.

Lvl 2 - 1500 denarii - Adds cobblestone pathing and increases the settlement income 500 denarii.
*2000 marble; 1000 wood.

Lvl 3 - 3000 denarii - Provides a shorter pathway for your citizens to take and increases the settlement income from 500-1000.
*4000 marble; 2000 wood.

Lvl 4 - 6000 denarii - Outfits the road with concrete and fencing and security checkpoints to provide traders with safer travel. and increases the settlement income from 1000-2000.
*8000 marble; 4000 wood.

Lvl 5 - 18000 denarii - Outfits the roads with marble stones and paving in the most extravagant way possible only fit for the emperor's travels and increases the denarii of the city from 2000-6000.
*16000 marble; 8000 wood.

Forum,
Lvl 1 - Free - Provides a small house for your people to discuss city affairs adds no extra income.

Lvl 2 - 1000 denarii - Adds a small podium and speaking area to the center of the forum and increases the settlement income 500 denarii.
*2000 marble; 500 silver.

Lvl 3 - 5000 denarii - Provides a bigger house for your citizens to publicly speak in and increases the settlement income from 500-2500.
*4000 marble; 1000 silver.

Lvl 4 - 10000 denarii - Outfits the forum with a lavish house for your citizens and provides a paved sitting area for listeners of the house and increases the settlement income from 2500-5000.
*8000 marble; 2000 silver.

Lvl 5 - 30000 denarii - Outfits the forum with marble buildings and increases its size and splendour and increases the denarii of the city from 5000-15000.
Public Buildings,
*16000 marble; 4000 silver.


Lvl 1 - Free - Provides a small tavern for your people to use adds no extra income.

Lvl 2 - 3000 denarii - Adds adds a small public bathhouse and enlarges the tavern increases the settlement income by 500 denarii.
*2000 wood; 1000 wine.

Lvl 3 - 5000 denarii - Provides a small theater for your citizens to enjoy and increases the settlement income from 500-1500.
*4000 wood; 2000 wine.

Lvl 4 - 18000 denarii - Outfits the theater and bathhouse with new furnishing and enlarges their plots thus increasing the settlement income from 1500-6000.
*8000 wood; 4000 wine.

Lvl 5 - 54000 denarii - Outfits the all public buildings with marble stones in the most extravagant way possible also including an amphitheater and enlarging all buildings making them fit for the emperor and increases the denarii of the city from 6000-24000.
*16000 wood; 8000 wine.

Dockyards,
Lvl 1 - 1000 denarii - Provides a small port for your people to use adds 500 denarii.
*2000 marble; 2000 wood

Lvl 2 - 2000 denarii - Adds a warehouse and more ships increasing the settlement income 500-1500 denarii.
*4000 marble; 4000 wood

Lvl 3 - 4000 denarii - Provides a bigger docking area plus another warehouse for your citizens to use and
increases the settlement income from 1500-4500.
*8000 marble; 8000 wood

Lvl 4 - 8000 denarii - Outfits the the docking area with concrete and security checkpoints to provide traders with safer travel. and increases the settlement income from 4500-9000.
*16000 marble; 16000 wood

Lvl 5 - 16000 denarii - Outfits the dock with marble stones adds several warehouses and dozens of ships making it worthy of Rome itself and increases the denarii of the city from 9000-18000.
*32000 marble; 32000 wood

*If you lose a settlement you lose all buildings and bonuses that you received from that settlement*

to add to the challenge cities don't start with any of these or military buildings. Also you can have any of these buildings in any of your cities! Smile
